Do you help engrave seals? Should the company seal and bank seal be separate?

Updated 2026-09-19

Our incorporation service includes one set of company registration seals (large and small) and an invoice stamp; bookkeeping clients also get a set of bookkeeping seals kept at our office. After incorporation the registration seals are mailed to you, and they are used for everything related to company registration and amendments.

Seals fall into three uses:

  • City government: the registration seals. Incorporation, amendments and business certificate applications all require the same seals as on the registration form.
  • Tax bureau: the invoice stamp and the responsible person's personal seal (the seals on the first page of the invoice purchase certificate), used when buying invoices; may be the same as or different from the registration seals.
  • Bank: the bank seal, which may be the same as or different from the registration seals.

We generally recommend engraving a separate bank seal: use the registration seals for external contracts and the bank seal only at the bank, which is safer.
