What documents are needed to register at my own or a relative's home?
Updated 2026-09-19
The building ownership certificate is not required; any of the following works instead:
- A copy of the latest house tax bill (the page with the stamp)
- A house tax registration certificate
- A Category 1 building transcript
Common situations
- The property has two or more owners but only one landlord: a copy of the latest house tax bill is enough.
- You want to "limit registration to one floor": for example the landlord owns the whole building but the company uses only one floor, or you are using a relative's property and want to minimize the portion converted to business use. Then provide the building ownership certificate or a Category 1 building transcript so only that floor is switched to the business tax rate.
- Newly purchased property without a house tax bill yet, or exempt from house tax: attach a house tax registration certificate.
