What do I send you for the bimonthly VAT return?
Updated 2026-09-19
1. Input invoices (company expenses with the tax ID printed; originals required)
- Handwritten paper invoices: both the receipt copy and the deduction copy.
- Cash register receipts: if the item is unclear, note it in pencil.
- E-invoices: clients with the "e-invoice input summary" activated do not need to send them.
- Always include allowance slips.
- Just put them in our invoice envelope; no sorting needed. For "non-deductible" items that are genuinely for business use, note the purpose in pencil.
2. Sales invoices (invoices the company issued)
- E-invoices: easiest, nothing to send. We download the media file from the Ministry of Finance platform through the filing sub-account and check that unused blank number ranges have been uploaded.
- Handwritten invoices: return the whole book including unissued blanks; do not tear off stubs; mark voided invoices and staple them back onto the stub; include allowance slips.
- Cash register invoices: provide the system's daily invoice statistics (start/end numbers, voided numbers, daily sales net of voids), and include voided invoices and allowance slips.
3. Other expense vouchers bearing the company name
- Receipts for company expenses.
- Paper service fee slips (not needed for clients using our Contractor Pay Helper).
- Paid labor/health insurance payment slips, or a payment certificate provided once at year end.
